How to Actually Make Money with Swagbucks

I’m all about that side hustle.

A couple of years ago, I was working a cushy office job and dreaming of ways I would rather be spending my days. I became obsessed with the idea of making money online and travelling to new places.

So of course, I did what any millennial would do – I googled how to make money online and found some promising side hustles. After I made my first dollar online, I quit my job. And I haven’t looked back ever since!

Whether it’s captioning videos or learning how to start a successful blog – I’m always willing to try new ways of making extra income online. In fact, I even wrote an entire post about my top five successful side hustles – seriously, open that one up in a new tab!

Which is why it should come as no surprise that I’ve tried to make money with Swagbucks.

And you know what?

It works.

Want to turn Swagbucks into your side hustle? I will teach you how to actually make money with Swagbucks in this ultimate guide. Learn how to make money online and enjoy passive income! The perfect side hustle for stay at home moms. Click through to read the guide!

It’s FREE and you’ll get a $5 BONUS just for joining!

After you’ve signed up, read on to find out how you can make over $1,000 on Swagbucks this year!

Daily Goal

When you’re ready to start making money with Swagbucks, press the “Activate” button next to “Daily Goal” in the menu bar at the top of the page. This will allow you to earn bonuses just by hitting the daily goals that Swagbucks sets up for you! Once you hit your first goal, you’ll get a larger second goal with even MORE bonuses.

To-Do List

Another way to earn bonus Swagbucks is to complete all of the tasks in your to-do list, which is located halfway down the left toolbar on your dashboard. Again, the bonus amount varies depending on each person. But it’s definitely worth completing all of these easy tasks for some extra cash!

Daily Poll

This will be one of the tasks on your to-do list. Swagbucks will post a new poll for you every day and the topics can be about anything. You’ll only earn 1 SB (short for Swagbucks) for completing the survey, but it will honestly take you one second to complete!

Online Searches

Anytime you need to search for something online, use Swagbucks instead of Google. You’ll get the same search results AND you get to earn some extra SB! To be completely honest, I’ll even search for sites that I already have bookmarked because EACH search leaves me with more cash in my pocket! One search will count towards your to-do list.

Watch Videos

You can easily earn 150 SB per day just by watching videos on the site. Head over to Swagbucks Watch and open up a video playlist – one will count towards your to-do list. This is one of my personal favourite ways of earning Swagbucks because you don’t necessarily have to be paying attention. Just throw on some videos in the background as you work on the computer!

Special Offers

Complete the “Daily Discover” on your to-do list by checking out some of the special offers and freebies available to you as a Swagbucks user! Earn cash back by shopping at your favourite online retailers, complete a survey or sign up for a subscription service. You can also click on “Free Offers” in the left toolbar and earn SB without having to actually spend any money.

Surveys are going to earn you the highest amount of Swagbucks in the shortest amount of time. Plus, they also count towards your to-do list and daily goal! The amount of SB that you earn for each survey varies, but you can earn up to 60 SB for completing the daily survey alone.

Play Games

The next time you’re bored on your lunch break (or let’s be honest, at your desk pretending to be productive) – open up Swagbucks and waste a few minutes by playing some games! You can earn 2 SB for every two games you play. The best part is that you don’t actually have to finish the game to earn your SB, you only need to play for a few minutes! My personal favourite is the Swagasaurus Run!

Online Shopping

I’ll be totally honest with you, I’m an Ebates girl through and through! But if you don’t use Ebates or you’re not as committed to them as me, you should definitely try using Swagbucks to earn cash back for all of your online purchases. Instead of earning cash with Ebates, you’ll earn SB which you can redeem towards any gift card you like! To make things even easier, install the Swagbucks button on your internet browser. That way, you will be notified the next time you’re on a site that can earn you SB!

To earn Swagbucks fast, go ahead and install the SwagButton on your internet browser. This free browser extension will allow you to earn cash back and do online searches without ever even having to open up the site! Plus, you’ll be notified about SwagCodes the minute they become available.

SwagCodes are well, codes that are given out randomly by Swagbucks. You can find them by using the SwagButton, reading the Swagbucks blog or by following their social media channels. Every time you see a new code, enter it in the Swagbutton and the SB will appear in your account immediately!

Use the App

I actually prefer using the Swagbucks app over the actual website. It’s free and available on most devices. Just by watching videos on your phone, you can earn an EXTRA 50 SB every day. I’ll usually throw a video on in the background on my phone while I do other things around the house.

Refer Your Friends

One of the easiest ways of earning extra Swagbucks is to refer your friends and family! Share your Swagbucks referral code with anyone who wants to join. After they sign up, you’ll BOTH receive a 100 SB bonus AND you’ll earn 10% of their future Swagbucks earnings. If you haven’t already signed up for Swagbucks, use my referral code and earn 100 Swagbucks right away!

How to Redeem Your Swagbucks

After using all of the methods listed above, you’ll be redeeming your not-so-hard-earned Swagbucks in no time at all! Seriously. I’m pretty sure I redeemed my first gift card during my second week of using the site!

When you’re ready to redeem your Swagbucks, open up your dashboard and click “Rewards” in the left sidebar. Choose whichever gift card you want (I usually go with Amazon) and then click “Redeem” to get the reward.

Turn Swagbucks Into Your Side Hustle!

By implementing just SOME of the methods that I’ve listed above, you could easily earn enough Swagbucks to redeem a $50 or even a $100 gift card this MONTH!

Here’s an easy breakdown to show you just how much money you can make with Swagbucks this month!

*Keep in mind that this is based on spending about 15 minutes per day on the site and does not include any of the extra bonuses you can earn!*

Total Swagbucks Earned in One Month: 5,180

That means you could have enough Swagbucks to redeem a $15 this week. Or a $50 gift card this month! And if you redeem your SB when gift cards are on sale, you could earn a $100 gift card every month instead!

Making money with Swagbucks is easier than you think!

But if I’m being honest, my favourite side hustle is blogging.

I get to write about things I’m passionate about and meet awesome people all the time. Check out my latest income report to see how I made money blogging this month and then head over to my tutorial on how to start a profitable blog!

Great Post! I like Swagbucks and love the fact that there are so many different ways to earn on their site. They even send you points just for logging in if it’s been awhile. I’ve been so busy with my blog but plan to use Swagbucks more often down the road.

I heard about this program. I actually wrote a review about it for a friend. The only thing I didn’t like is the location block, a lot of countries in Asia are blocked from using the site. Other than that, the platform is pretty good. Cheers!

I’ve tried Swagbucks before, but never stuck with it. How do you go about taxes for this? Do you earn enough for it to matter?

Well at first I was going to say Swagbucks is useless since I figured it was just another one of those survey sites, but you’ve got me intrigued by all the different things you can apparently do on there to earn money. Especially the “watching videos in the background while you do other stuff” thing… if that’s true then it’s almost like free money. I’m gonna have to check it out for myself!
